The Department of Environmental Engineering, represented by its Master’s students at the coursework stage and under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Mohammed Abdul-Hameed, participated in the Innovation and Distinguished Graduation Projects Exhibition, organized by the Iraqi Engineers Association on 26 September 2026.The participation reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to promoting engineering innovation and translating scientific research into practical solutions for contemporary environmental challenges. The exhibition featured a range of engineering projects and innovative ideas that reflected the Department’s focus on developing sustainable and applicable environmental solutions. The Department presented three innovative projects, which attracted considerable attention and appreciation from officials and participants at the exhibition. The projects addressed practical and implementable solutions in several environmental engineering applications, including novel approaches for hospital wastewater treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, and biogas production from food waste. As part of the exhibition, a technical discussion session was held to highlight the role of innovation and scientific research in advancing engineering and environmental solutions.
