Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering at University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, and as part of the Department of Computer Engineering’s efforts to strengthen the humanitarian and educational dimension of its students, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college, a group of faculty members from the Department of Computer Engineering visited the Iraqi House for Creativity Foundation on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

The visit aimed to learn about the humanitarian work of the institution, which is managed by Mr. Hisham Al-Dhahabi. The organization is an Iraqi non-governmental institution dedicated to caring for orphans and homeless children by providing shelter, education, psychological and emotional support, as well as rehabilitation programs designed to help integrate them into society.

During the visit, Mr. Hisham Al-Dhahabi received the visiting delegation, where they were introduced to the foundation’s main activities and needs. Faculty members from the department also provided financial support to the institution as part of promoting social responsibility and reinforcing humanitarian work and support for vulnerable groups.

At the conclusion of the visit, the director of the foundation expressed his gratitude for this initiative, while the visiting delegation praised the significant humanitarian efforts made by the organization in caring for orphans and supporting them. They emphasized the importance of continuing such initiatives, which strengthen social solidarity and foster cooperation between academic institutions and society.
