In embodiment of academic responsibility and a commitment to providing an ideal learning environment for students, the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ala’a Abdul Hassan Al-Zubaidi, conducted a field visit to the College of Engineering at University of Baghdad to review the progress of final examinations and follow up on the academic and service-related conditions of the college. He was received by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed.

The visit included an inspection tour of the examination halls and the mechanisms for managing the examination process, as well as the work of the relevant committees. The University President praised the high level of organization and the efforts made to provide suitable conditions for students, including all logistical and service requirements, ensuring the smooth conduct of examinations in an optimal academic environment.

He also reviewed the infrastructure and public facilities within the college and the progress of ongoing development and rehabilitation projects, emphasizing the importance of continuing modernization efforts to enhance the educational environment and improve academic performance quality.

In a related context, the University President attended the Energy Engineering Department festival at the college, where he reviewed students’ scientific projects and outputs. He listened to explanations provided by students and supervisors regarding the nature of the projects and their applied ideas. These projects included engineering solutions and modern technologies in the fields of energy, infrastructure, and smart environments, as well as initiatives addressing service and community challenges related to clean energy and sustainability.

He praised the students’ achievements, stressing the importance of transforming such projects into applicable and investment-ready initiatives that contribute to improving the university environment and enhancing service efficiency within the campus, in line with the university’s direction toward supporting innovation and sustainability.

The visit concluded with words of appreciation for the College’s Deanship, academic, and administrative staff, praising their efforts in supporting the education and research process at the University of Baghdad and advancing its academic performance.
