Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, the Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a scientific workshop titled “The Electronic Scientific Rigor Form.” The workshop was held on Monday, April 27, 2026, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation and Continuing Education Units. It was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Ibrahim Mousa, with the attendance of several faculty members and postgraduate students.
The workshop aimed to promote the concept of scientific rigor in academic research and to enable participants to efficiently use the electronic form. It also supported the shift toward digital transformation in research evaluation processes, contributing to improving the quality of postgraduate outputs and enhancing the standard of scientific publishing.
The session included a detailed presentation on how to use the electronic form designed for evaluating scientific rigor, along with an overview of the key criteria adopted to improve the quality of research outputs. It also highlighted the role of digital transformation in standardizing evaluation procedures and reinforcing principles of transparency and accuracy.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the lecturer emphasized the importance of officially adopting the electronic form in research evaluation. He also stressed the need to organize continuous training workshops to develop researchers’ skills, update evaluation criteria in line with global scientific advancements, and strengthen adherence to research ethics and quality standards.
