Under the supervision of the Head of the Environmental Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Ayad Abdulhamza Faisal, the Environmental Engineering Department held a workshop on Sunday, 23\2\2025 by Lecturer.Dr. Ahmed Isam Mohammed Jwad titled:
“Obesity and hormones: risks and prevention”
The workshop aims to review the most important concepts related to obesity, the most important hormones that are behind obesity and cause it, and how to deal with it, as well as the hormones that can reduce obesity and how to increase their concentration. It also explained the scientific definition of obesity and its difference from excess weight. The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations:
- Paying attention to the food we eat in terms of quantity and quality
- Choosing a balanced diet that ensures healthy and rich nutrition and does not lead to weight gain.
