Dr. Basma Ismail Waisi, Managing Editor of the College of Engineering Journal at the University of Baghdad, has been academically promoted to the rank of Professor in the specialization of Chemical Engineering / Water Treatment, after fulfilling the scientific promotion requirements stipulated by the Scientific Promotions Law.
The academic title was awarded based on the decision of the Central Scientific Promotions Committee at its 23rd session, held on August 24, 2026, and signed by the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul-Hassan Atiya. This promotion marks a significant addition to her academic and scientific career.
On this occasion, the College of Engineering family at the University of Baghdad, represented by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majeed, along with the teaching and administrative staff, extends its highest congratulations and best wishes to Prof. Dr. Basma Ismail Waisi, wishing her continued progress and success, as well as further scientific and professional achievements.
