Assistant professor Dr. Zuhair Kadhim JahanGer, a lecturer at the Department of Water Resources Engineering at the University of Baghdad, has been chosen to be a part of the ministerial committee established by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Research and Development Department. The committee’s main focus is to design a master’s degree program in civil engineering geotechnical engineering at the University of Kufa in Najaf. Dr. Zuhair was selected for his exceptional expertise and experience in the field of civil geotechnical engineering, supported by his PhD from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.
The committee, comprised of faculty members from several Iraqi universities with extensive scientific expertise and competence, visited the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kufa on 29/1/2024 to assess the material and human resources, as well as the fulfillment of necessary conditions. This visit is part of efforts to improve the quality and advancement of higher education in geotechnical engineering, offering a unique opportunity for doctoral students specializing in this field to further their studies and enhance their skills in this crucial area.
