Participation of the Dep. of Water Resources Engineering in the National Afforestation Day

Regarding to the directives of the Honorable Prime Minister to designate March 12 of each year as “National Afforestation Day”, under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdel Majeed, the afforestation campaign of the Department of Water Resources Engineering in the College of Engineering was completed by planting seedlings. In the gardens around the department, on Tuesday March 12, 2024 and under the direct supervision of the department head, Prof. Dr. Basim Sh. Abd. Number of the department’s faculty also participated in this campaign as well as number of students. It also included Celebrating this occasion by placing awareness posters in the department indicating the importance of afforestation in the university environment and preserving green spaces and areas.
The head of department thanked the students and stressed maintaining this good spirit in adopting the concepts of the environment and green areas.
