The Department of Aeronautical Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, participated in the Exhibition of Innovations, Outstanding Graduation Projects, and Smart Medical Devices, held at the Iraqi Engineers Association on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The department was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anmar Hamid Ali and Assist. Lecturer Ahmed Tawfiq Mustafa, along with students Zainab Ali Kareem, Mohammed Osama Saleh, and Mohammed Mahmoud Sultan.

The department’s participation featured three applied projects: a solar-powered unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a system that applies artificial intelligence to aircraft maintenance scheduling, and a smart UAV for detecting and reporting fires.

These projects reflect the College of Engineering’s commitment to supporting innovation and employing modern technologies, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy to develop practical engineering solutions. They also enhance students’ abilities to transform scientific ideas into projects that keep pace with developments in the field of aeronautical engineering.
