Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majeed, Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nabeel Hassan, Head of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a workshop entitled “Mechanism for Working with the SIS Course System” on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in the department’s Smart Hall.

The workshop was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anmar Hamid Ali and Assist. Lecturer Ahmed Tawfiq Mustafa. It addressed an introduction to the SIS system and its method of use, in addition to explaining procedures for managing, updating, and reviewing student data, mechanisms for organizing academic information, and ways of addressing the most common problems that users may encounter while working with the system.

The workshop emphasized the importance of accuracy in entering and verifying data before its approval, standardizing work procedures, and strengthening coordination among the relevant academic and administrative entities. These measures contribute to expediting the completion of transactions, organizing academic records, and reducing errors.

The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of enhancing users’ efficiency in dealing with the SIS system and continuing to organize training workshops to keep pace with its updates, thereby improving the efficiency of academic and administrative work in the field of student affairs management.
