The College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad has obtained a certificate of conformity with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems (QMS), issued by IQS International, following the completion of auditing and assessment procedures in accordance with the standard’s requirements.

In this regard, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majeed, received Mr. Mohammed Al-Allaf, Managing Director of Fursan Al-Jawda Company for Training, Human Resources Development, Safety, and Quality. The meeting addressed the requirements of the Quality Management System, the procedures for obtaining the certification, and the importance of continuously improving the College’s institutional performance.

Obtaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification is part of the College of Engineering’s commitment to implementing its strategic plan and achieving academic and institutional excellence. This initiative also supports the College’s efforts to fulfil the requirements for accrediting its engineering programs in accordance with ABET standards, which represent one of the College’s key strategic objectives for the coming phase.
