The President of the University of Baghdad, accompanied by the Minister of Communications, Eng. Mustafa Sanad, conducted a tour of the university’s main campus, visiting several of its facilities and colleges, including the College of Engineering, to review the educational and research environment as well as the university’s scientific achievements.

Upon their arrival at the College of Engineering, they were received by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Ziad Tariq Abdul Ali, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Faleh Hassan.

The tour included attending part of the scientific discussion of researcher Huda Nima at the Department of Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering. The President of the University of Baghdad and the Minister of Communications were briefed on the proceedings of the discussion and on the scientific and research work produced by postgraduate students.

The President of the University of Baghdad emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with the Ministry of Communications, supporting digital transformation initiatives, and utilizing modern technologies to develop the educational and administrative environment. He also stressed the importance of supporting scientific research and linking it to technological and industrial developments in a way that enhances the university’s role in keeping pace with the requirements of development and technological advancement.

The visit comes within the framework of strengthening communication and cooperation between the University of Baghdad and government institutions, and supporting the advancement of education, scientific research, and innovation across various engineering and technological disciplines.
