The Department of Water Resources Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad organized a ceremonial event honoring Professor Dr. Riyadh Zuhair Al-Zubaidi on the occasion of his retirement, in recognition of his academic career and his scientific and administrative contributions over years of service in the department.
The ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, and the Head of the Department of Water Resources Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Amin Mohammed Saleh Amin, along with a number of faculty members and staff. Attendees expressed their appreciation for the honoree’s efforts, which contributed to the advancement of the department’s academic and scientific progress.
In his speech during the ceremony, the Dean praised Professor Dr. Riyadh Zuhair for his sincerity and dedication in performing his duties, commending his active role and collaborative spirit throughout his years of service, and emphasizing that he left a distinguished mark on the college’s academic journey. The Head of the Department also praised his academic and scientific contributions, highlighting his teaching and research efforts within the department.
At the conclusion of the event, a commemorative shield was presented to Professor Dr. Riyadh Zuhair Al-Zubaidi as an expression of gratitude for his scientific and professional contributions. In return, he expressed his appreciation for this kind gesture, affirming his pride in belonging to the Department of Water Resources Engineering at the College of Engineering – University of Baghdad, and wishing continued success and progress for all.
