The Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Ziyad Tariq Abdul Ali, received a delegation from the Joint Information Operations Center on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
The visiting delegation was headed by the Director of the Center, security expert Lieutenant General Rashid Flaih. During the meeting, both sides discussed prospects for scientific and technical cooperation, particularly in the fields of strengthening cybersecurity systems and enhancing technological protection of information.
The meeting also addressed ways to develop and improve digital infrastructure in line with the requirements of digital transformation. In addition, it explored opportunities to benefit from the academic and research expertise of the College of Engineering to support joint projects in this vital field.
