Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hameed Abdul Majeed, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Anmar Hamed Ali, the Department of Aeronautical Engineering organized an environmental awareness campaign under the slogan “Together to Protect the Environment.” The campaign was held in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit and with the participation of a number of faculty members from the department.
The campaign aimed to enhance environmental awareness and social responsibility among students. It included the design and distribution of informative posters highlighting the importance of environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, and the adoption of renewable energy sources to reduce pollution and promote sustainability.
Participating faculty members emphasized the importance of educational and awareness-based initiatives in promoting positive behavior among students. They noted that collaboration between academic departments and the Counseling Unit contributes to building a healthy and environmentally responsible university community.
The organizers confirmed that this initiative is part of a series of activities aimed at preparing a generation that is conscious of environmental challenges and capable of contributing innovative engineering solutions to achieve sustainable development.
