Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, and under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Professor Dr. Ziyad Tariq Abdul Ali, the College of Engineering organized an awareness and guidance campaign aimed at rationalizing water consumption within universities, in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Unit at the college.
This campaign comes within the framework of enhancing environmental awareness and spreading a culture of responsible use of natural resources, given the vital and essential role of water in achieving environmental sustainability within the university environment.
The campaign was implemented by Lecturer Dr. Qusay Mudhat Saleh, Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Qusay Khalid, and Assistant Lecturer Rasha Hussein Hamid. It included the production of informative and guidance posters illustrating proper methods for water use and rationalization, contributing to reducing waste and preserving this important resource. In addition, the campaign sought to promote a culture of environmental responsibility among students and university staff and encourage them to adopt correct daily practices in water use within university facilities.
This campaign reflects the College of Engineering’s commitment to instilling the values of sustainability and conserving natural resources, ensuring a more aware and sustainable university environment for future generations.
