The Chemical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering – University of Baghdad held an expanded general assembly meeting on Monday, 12 January 2026, attended by the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Rasha Habib Salman, along with members of the academic staff.
The meeting addressed several key issues related to the progress of the educational process. Emphasis was placed on the importance of faculty members’ attention to the learning outcomes of the academic curriculum package, as well as the need to expedite the completion of remote assessment requirements in line with the standards adopted in the academic program.
The meeting also discussed two main aspects concerning occupational safety within scientific laboratories. Participants stressed the necessity of exercising accuracy and caution when preparing practical experiments before presenting them to students, adhering to safe storage principles for hazardous materials, and implementing all approved preventive measures to reduce potential risks, thereby ensuring the safety of students and staff.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Head of the Department expressed her sincere thanks and high appreciation to the members of the Program and Academic Accreditation Committee, in recognition of their dedicated efforts and continuous commitment to fulfilling accreditation requirements, which contribute to enhancing the quality of the educational process and elevating the department’s academic standards.
