As part of its plans to promote digital transformation and develop the educational environment, the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad signed a contract on Sunday, December 7, 2025, with Al-Siraj Al-Mudee’ Information Technology Company to supply smart interactive screens supported by artificial intelligence technologies.
The contract was signed by Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, Dean of the College, and Mr. Siraj Ahmed Mohammed, the company’s Managing Director, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Falih Hassan Mohammed, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, who played a pivotal role in following up on the contracting process and completing its procedures.
The contract includes equipping the college with modern interactive screens that contribute to supporting the educational process by enhancing interaction between faculty members and students, and by developing academic presentation methods and practical lectures in line with the requirements of smart education within the scientific departments. The contract also includes training teaching and technical staff on how to use these technologies to ensure optimal utilization.
This signing followed a series of meetings and technical presentations delivered to the College Council, during which the company presented a range of advanced digital solutions in the fields of digital transformation and e-administration. These included archiving and document management systems, as well as barcode and smart card issuance systems, all of which support improving work efficiency and accelerating educational and administrative procedures.
Through this step, the College of Engineering continues its path toward adopting modern technologies and developing an advanced educational environment that keeps pace with digital progress and serves the academic mission.
