The Department of Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, organized an introductory activity for first-year students on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, for the academic year 2025–2026.
The event opened with welcoming and advisory remarks delivered by Asst. Lecturer Zainab Ibrahim Abboud, the liaison member of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Committee in the department, which included guidance aimed at enhancing the academic and social adjustment of new students.
The activity also featured shared experiences and insights from senior students, followed by an orientation tour around the college facilities and the halls of the University of Baghdad Central Library.
This activity comes as part of the Department of Electrical Engineering’s and the Counseling Unit’s efforts to promote a supportive educational environment that contributes to academic excellence and facilitates the students’ integration into university life.
