The Energy Engineering Department at the University of Baghdad organized an academic celebration on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, bringing together first-year students and honoring a distinguished group of engineers and top-performing students.
The event opened with a welcoming speech delivered by the Head of the Energy Engineering Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Zeina Ali Abdulredha, who emphasized the vital role of energy engineering as a cornerstone for building a sustainable future in Iraq. She encouraged new students to commit to diligence and perseverance in this critical and rapidly evolving field.
The ceremony also featured an informative presentation by Prof. Dr. Ammar Ali Farhan, who explained the “Bologna Track System,” its mechanisms, and its alignment with labor market requirements, thereby enhancing students’ readiness to meet future challenges.
The event concluded with honoring the department’s top students from previous academic years in recognition of their outstanding achievements, along with acknowledging engineers in the field for their contributions and professional accomplishments.
