Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majeed, Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, the Computer Engineering Department organized an introductory workshop titled “Introductory Workshop on the Bologna Process System” on Sunday, October 12, 2025. The workshop was presented by the Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Firas Ali Sayer, with the participation of a distinguished group of faculty members.

The workshop aimed to familiarize students with the main areas of study in the Computer Engineering Department and their future prospects, as well as to provide them with essential knowledge to understand the Bologna Process system, its usage, and access mechanisms. This contributes to building comprehensive academic awareness among students regarding recent developments in higher education.

The workshop topics included an overview of the department’s courses, requirements, and outcomes, in addition to explaining the importance of the Bologna Process system and its role in developing the educational process and improving the quality of higher education outputs in line with international standards.

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants presented several recommendations emphasizing the importance of implementing the Bologna Process system to enhance the quality of higher education and align its outcomes with the needs of the labor market. They also stressed the importance of regular attendance and adherence to the principles of campus discipline, which contribute to fostering a well-organized and creativity-enhancing academic environment.
