As part of its humanitarian and social activities, a group of faculty members from the Department of Water Resources Engineering — including the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Amin Mohammed Saleh; Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Omran; Lecturer Dr. Rusul Lateef; Lecturer Zainab Abdul-Ilah; Assistant Lecturer Alaa Abdul-Hadi; and Senior Chief Engineer Taghreed Hussein — organized a visit to the Oncology Department at the Central Children’s Hospital, with the aim of supporting young patients and bringing smiles to their faces.

The visit included a tour of the hospital’s wards and meetings with bedridden children, during which wall fans were donated to the wards, symbolic gifts were presented, and words of encouragement were exchanged. The faculty members emphasized that this initiative expresses the spirit of human solidarity and supports the medical staff who make exceptional efforts in caring for children with cancer.

The Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Amin Mohammed Saleh, stressed the importance of promoting such visits, as they leave a positive impact on patients and their families. The hospital’s childcare team expressed their gratitude and appreciation for this generous gesture, valuing the role of universities and academic institutions in providing community and humanitarian support.
