Professor Dr. Ghassan Hameed Abdul-Majeed, Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, visited the fifth-year graduation project discussions of students in the Department of Architecture, as part of the college’s commitment to supporting students and reviewing their academic output.

The Dean was received by Professor Dr. Saad Fawzi, Head of the Department, who accompanied him during the visit. The Dean met with several faculty members supervising the graduation projects and discussed the mechanisms and procedures of the scientific discussions held within the department.

The visit aimed to assess the quality of the graduation projects, ensure students’ adherence to scientific and engineering standards, and reinforce academic support while encouraging students to present innovative ideas that contribute to the advancement of the architectural field.

Dean Abdul-Majeed reviewed a number of project models and discussed their design approaches, commending the students for their creative ideas and well-executed designs, which reflect a high level of scientific competence and innovation. He emphasized the importance of graduation projects as the culmination of students’ academic journey, serving as a vital gateway for offering architectural solutions that align with Iraq’s development goals and the demands of modern architectural design.
