As part of its ongoing scientific activities, the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Baghdad, under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, and the supervision of the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Firas Mohammed Tu’ma, organized a scientific seminar titled:
“Cyberattacks on electrical power systems”
The seminar was delivered by Lecturer Huda Al-Abodi, a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering, on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in the department’s seminar hall.
The session addressed the challenges facing power systems due to the increasing threat of cyberattacks. It also presented several modern strategies to mitigate the impact of these attacks and ensure the stability and security of the national grid, especially in light of the rapid digital transformation in the energy infrastructure.
