As part of the scientific activities of the Department of Surveying Engineering at the University of Baghdad, and under the patronage of the Head of the Department, the department organized a scientific activity on surveying instruments and their operation for third-year students, on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
The activity included a demonstration on the calibration and field use of surveying instruments, as well as how they function in taking the necessary measurements for the construction of a specific project or for measuring a street intended for paving. Every project must rely on a survey engineer to carry out the required tasks. A detailed explanation was provided using the Level and Total Station devices by the participating instructors:
