Conducting the First Exam of the “Joint Examination” in the Department of Surveying Engineering

The Department of Surveying Engineering at the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with Al-Kitab University in Kirkuk, held the first exam of the course Geodetic Networks on Monday, April 7, 2025, and the Photogrammetry course exam on Wednesday, April 9, for second-year students as part of the “Joint Examination” initiative.

This collaboration was carried out with the Department of Surveying Engineering at Al-Kitab University, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Wednesday exam included second-year students from both the University of Baghdad and Al-Kitab University as part of the academic twinning program between the two institutions.

The examination process was closely supervised by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majid, and the Head of the Department of Surveying Engineering, Prof. Dr. Maytham Mutashar, along with the undergraduate examination committee and faculty proctors at Al-Kitab University to ensure academic standards were upheld.

This joint examination aims to strengthen academic cooperation between Iraqi universities, unify educational standards, and contribute to the development of the educational process and scientific integration among cooperating academic institutions.
