Under the sponsorship of the esteemed Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majid, and the supervision of the respected Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Rasha Habib Salman, and as part of the series of scientific activities organized by the Chemical Engineering Department, the department, in collaboration with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, organized a workshop titled:

 

“Requirements for Developing Educational Capacities to Graduate Engineering Cadres Ready to Enter the Labor Market.” The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ammar Saleh Abbas and included a comprehensive presentation on the essential engineering skills, scientific programs, and personal attributes that must be acquired for engineers to be effective and qualified to work in various state institutions and private sectors. It also addressed the mental and cognitive abilities as well as problem-solving skills needed to handle different situations that engineers may encounter in their various work sectors.

 

This event reaffirms the department’s commitment to supporting and developing students’ diverse skills, motivating them, and equipping them with necessary information that contributes to achieving the university’s academic and scientific goals to meet the needs of society and various labor markets.
