Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majid, Dean of the College of Engineering, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Departments of Architecture, Energy Engineering, and the Women’s Affairs Division of the University Health Department, organized a discussion session on women’s health and its physical and psychological impact. The event took place on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

This event was held in response to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and the University of Baghdad to implement the National Women’s Strategic Plan under the Protection and Prevention pillar—Women’s Health Culture section. The session aimed to highlight the health and psychological aspects of women and their impact on quality of life.

The session was moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Ilham Ali Al-Anouz, Director of the Women’s Affairs Unit, and Dr. Fadla Saadoun Jabbar from the University Health Division. They discussed the importance of raising awareness about physical health and nutrition in regulating pregnancy and childbirth, and how these factors reflect on family and societal well-being.

The discussion session witnessed a large turnout of students and faculty members from the College of Engineering. The event concluded with several recommendations emphasizing the necessity of maintaining women’s physical and mental health and enhancing nutritional awareness to ensure a balanced and high-quality life.
