As part of the fruitful collaboration between the College of Engineering and the General Company for Airport Management and Air Navigation – Ministry of Transport, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Department of Surveying Engineering, organized a scientific visit for first-year students to Baghdad International Airport on Thursday, February 20, 2025. The visit was supervised by a group of faculty members from the college.
The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with a hands-on experience, allowing them to explore the engineering and professional activities related to airport management, particularly in the fields of surveying and air navigation. Students had the opportunity to observe the practical application of their academic knowledge in a real-world work environment.
The visit included an informative tour of various airport departments, where students documented key insights and acquired practical skills that will enhance their academic journey. This initiative also aimed to strengthen collaboration between the college and various ministries to enhance students’ scientific and practical competencies.
This initiative represents a significant step toward fostering ongoing cooperation between the college and governmental institutions, benefiting both the academic and professional sectors.
