The Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Firas Mohammed Taimah, participated in the Iraq Energy Conference 2025, which saw broad participation from a large number of global companies in the fields of energy, oil, and electricity. The conference was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani, with the attendance of several ministers and deputy ministers. During the conference, opportunities for developing the energy and electricity sectors in Iraq were reviewed, with a focus on the latest trends and technologies in these fields. Additionally, several professors from the College of Engineering participated in the conference, providing scientific contributions and discussing ways to enhance collaboration between academic and industrial institutions to develop this vital sector.
