The Department of Electrical Engineering organised a reception event for first-year students to welcome them and introduce them to the department. The event took place on Sunday, November 24, 2024, in the presence of the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Firas Mohammed, along with several faculty members and the student reception committee. The meeting included a welcoming speech to the students by the Head of the Department and the Undergraduate Studies Rapporteur, and then introducing them to some of the academic requirements. The students were also urged to work hard and excel in their studies and an explanation was provided of the importance of the field of Electrical Engineering in the labor market. Then the study materials and the Bologna track were introduced, which aims to improve the quality of education at the University of Baghdad and its benefits for students in their professional and academic future.
