In a distinguished scientific and academic achievement that adds to the series of successes of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, the Chemical Engineering Department celebrated on Monday, 15 June 2026, its attainment of Unconditional Program Accreditation. The occasion was marked by an official ceremony attended by Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Professor Dr. Ziad Tariq Abdul Ali, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, along with a number of faculty members and staff.

The ceremony commenced with a speech delivered by the Dean of the College, who expressed his pride in this achievement, emphasizing that obtaining unconditional program accreditation reflects the quality and rigor of the academic programs and their compliance with established quality standards. He noted that this accomplishment further enhances the academic and scientific standing of the University of Baghdad.

For her part, Professor Dr. Rasha Habib Salman, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, expressed her pride in this achievement, stating that it was the result of sustained institutional efforts and continuous development initiatives. These included curriculum enhancement, infrastructure improvement, and the strengthening of practical training opportunities for students in accordance with academic quality requirements.
