Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hameed Abdul Majeed, and as part of the activities of the department’s Educational Guidance Committee, held in cooperation with the college’s Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, a number of faculty members and students from the Computer Engineering Department visited the University of Baghdad Museum in the Jadriya Complex on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The visit aimed to introduce the students to the history of the University of Baghdad and the distinguished heads of its academic departments throughout the years. The professors supervising the museum explained how the university’s location and colleges were chosen, their establishment dates, and the names of the professors who founded each department. At the end of the visit, the department’s faculty members thanked the museum staff for their efforts in highlighting the importance of this significant cultural landmark within the university, which documents its scientific and academic journey since its founding.
