Under the supervision of the Head of the Environmental Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Ayad Abdul Hamza Faisal, the department held a workshop entitled:
“Cosmetic Procedures: Types, Motives, Risks, and Precautions“
The workshop took place at 9:00 AM on Monday, April 6, 2026, in the Environmental Engineering Department’s discussion hall. In attendance were the head of the Environmental Engineering Department, faculty members, and students. The workshop was presented by Dr. Ahmed Essam Mohammed. The workshop covered the most important types of cosmetic procedures (surgical and non-surgical), potential risks and complications, common reasons and motivations for seeking cosmetic procedures, and medical and psychological precautions to consider before making the decision.
The workshop concluded with several recommendations, most notably:
1- Beauty is relative and not a fixed standard.
2- Some procedures are unnecessary and may carry risks.
3- Correcting misconceptions circulating on social media.
