Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majeed, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center and the Department of Petroleum Engineering, organized an educational workshop entitled “Students’ Rights within Educational Institutions,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Israa Hafez Qader.
The workshop aimed to enhance students’ legal awareness of their rights and duties within educational institutions and to promote a culture of mutual respect and the rule of law within the academic environment.
The workshop addressed several important themes, focusing on the rights guaranteed to students by laws and regulations within educational institutions, in addition to highlighting the duties and responsibilities assigned to them. It also reviewed mechanisms for promoting an educational environment based on mutual respect and the rule of law.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Assistant Lecturer Israa Hafez emphasized the importance of continuing to organize such scientific activities due to their effective role in consolidating legal and human rights principles and contributing to building a generation that is aware of its rights and responsibilities within the academic community.
