Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Adel Hassan, faculty member at the Department of Computer Engineering – College of Engineering / University of Baghdad, participated as a member of the judging committee for the 2026 National English Language Olympiad projects in Iraq. The event was organized by the International Creativity Development Center from February 3–5, 2026, with broad participation from schools across Iraq.
The competition included several competitive tracks, namely the Applied Artificial Intelligence Creative Project track, the Theatrical Performance track, the Community Service track, and the English Language track. Projects were evaluated according to precise scientific criteria focusing on the quality of the idea, level of innovation, and feasibility of practical implementation in alignment with the needs of Iraqi society.
The competition activities, which concluded on February 9, 2026, included honoring the participating judging committee members, as well as recognizing the winning students and schools that presented outstanding models reflecting the creativity, competitiveness, and excellence of Iraqi youth.
This participation reflects the academic and societal role undertaken by the University of Baghdad in supporting national activities, nurturing student talents, and developing their scientific and creative capacities, thereby contributing to strengthening the status of education in Iraq and building an aware and capable generation able to keep pace with modern developments.
