Students of the College of Engineering – Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Baghdad achieved a distinguished accomplishment by securing top positions in the Creativity and Excellence Award during the ministerial examination held on Thursday, 22 January 2026, at the College of Engineering of Al-Mustansiriyah University, with the participation of 36 engineering colleges from various universities.
Student Mustafa Moataz won first place, while student Suroor Farah achieved second place, marking an achievement that adds to the record of the students’ academic successes.
This excellence comes as a result of the sincere scientific efforts exerted by the students and faculty members of the department, with the support and patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed.
On this occasion, the College of Engineering extends its highest congratulations and best wishes to the winners, wishing them continued success, excellence, and creativity.
