Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, Professor Dr. Amjad Hamad Khalil, the Department of Civil Engineering, in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Engineering, organized an awareness campaign aimed at introducing digital protection skills and identifying methods of electronic blackmail.

The campaign was implemented by Lecturer Dr. Hadeel Ibrahim Ahmed, Lecturer Dr. Ahlam Ali Aboud, and Lecturer Noor Samir Sadiq, with the participation of a number of second-year students from the department.

The campaign included the preparation and publication of an awareness poster highlighting the most important digital protection skills, contributing to the preservation of privacy through the protection of personal data, and promoting concepts of proactive security by introducing mechanisms for securing electronic accounts, particularly the use of two-factor authentication (2FA) and the adoption of strong and complex passwords.

This campaign comes as part of the awareness efforts undertaken by the College of Engineering to raise students’ level of digital awareness and to promote a culture of safe and responsible use of technology in light of increasing digital challenges.
