The College of Engineering Council held its third session at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, 6 November 2023, chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hameed, and attended by the assistant deans and heads of scientific departments.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean presented several recommendations from the University of Baghdad Council, emphasizing the formation of specialized committees to receive and register new students, providing appropriate facilities for applicants, adhering to the specified timelines, publishing research in global indexing platforms, and implementing the Bologna Process for the 2023–2024 academic year.
The Council then proceeded with discussing its agenda, addressing several important matters related to the educational process and the performance of academic and administrative departments in alignment with quality standards and requirements. Among the key directives was the commitment to implementing the Bologna Process, preparing curricula, and entering the necessary data into the dedicated system for the process. A plan was also set to enhance cooperation and twinning with other universities, in addition to sharing joint curricula.
At the conclusion of the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of maintaining the college buildings as a cultural and academic landmark and ensuring the necessary maintenance of equipment and devices within all scientific departments.
