With hearts full of love and giving, and in the framework of social responsibility and enhancing the spirit of charity and human solidarity, under the patronage of the respected Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majid, and the supervision of the esteemed Head of the Chemical Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Rasha Habib Salman, a group of faculty members from the Chemical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, conducted a voluntary visit to Al-Zuhour Al-Alawiya Orphanage for Girls on Monday, April 14, 2025.
The aim of this visit was to provide moral and material support to this important segment of society that requires our solidarity, communication, and assistance, as well as to bring smiles to their faces and instill hope, optimism, and a positive outlook on life. The orphaned girls expressed their immense joy and happiness during the visit, showing great interaction and gratitude for the university, college, and department’s support for the orphanage and for providing some basic necessities. Such activities undoubtedly reflect the positive role of state institutions towards society.
