The Department of Aeronautical Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific visit for fifth-year students to the General Company for Air Navigation Services and Airport Management at Baghdad International Airport.
The visit included an introductory lecture on the company’s departments and operations, alongside a tour of the air traffic control tower to observe the work of air traffic controllers, which is directly related to the responsibilities of aeronautical engineers.
The visit provided students with an opportunity to explore the practical aspects of aviation operations and understand the vital role of air navigation services and airport management. It also allowed them to observe the coordination and communication between different departments to ensure safety and operational efficiency at the airport.
These educational visits are organized to enhance students’ experience by linking theoretical knowledge with practical applications, contributing to the preparation of a generation of engineers qualified for a successful professional future in the aviation industry.
