An overview of a lecture on building materials physics for first-year students was provided on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Under the guidance of professors and engineers in the laboratory, architecture engineering students carried out laboratory tests focusing on the primary building material, clay bricks, to analyze its mechanical properties. The tests involved measuring the dimensions of the bricks, conducting compression tests, and comparing the results with Iraqi standard specifications. These experiments took place in the building materials laboratory within the Department of Civil Engineering.
