The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Women and the Student Activities Department at the University of Baghdad, organized an art exhibition on Thursday, December 4, 2025. The exhibition was attended by the Director of the Women’s Affairs Division at the University Presidency, Dr. Zainab Hadi. The guests were received by the Director of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ilham Ali Bayoumi.
The event aimed to introduce various artistic productions and the mechanisms of their implementation, while highlighting their role in supporting women in achieving and economically developing their artistic projects.
The exhibition featured a variety of works, including ceramics and pottery, sculpture, glass painting, handicrafts, and artistic paintings with diverse themes, created by students from the Colleges of Engineering and Education for Women, as well as several other colleges at the University of Baghdad. The exhibition also included presentations of projects by students of the Department of Architectural Engineering, reflecting their creativity and ability to integrate art with engineering.
The exhibition concluded with an emphasis on the importance of supporting young talents and strengthening the role of women in artistic and creative fields within the university, as these activities provide an open space for expression, capacity building, and transforming ideas into projects with social and economic impact.
