A specialized workshop on preparing program accreditation files for the departments of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad was held on Tuesday, October 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Dr. Mahmoud Omar Hall.
The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Al-Rubaie and Lecturer Dr. Ali Dawood. It focused on Standard Four, the Improvement Plan, as the cornerstone of engineering accreditation.
The workshop addressed the following key topics:
- Reviewing and auditing files prepared for submission for national program accreditation.
- The importance of thoroughly reviewing faculty portfolios and ensuring that all required documents are complete.
- Monitoring survey results and analyzing them carefully to identify strengths and areas for improvement, thereby enhancing academic performance.
The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Ghassan, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, as well as the Chair of the Chemical Engineering Department, several heads of academic departments, and representatives of program accreditation committees from various engineering departments at the University of Baghdad.
The workshop is part of the ongoing efforts of the University of Baghdad and the College of Engineering to enhance the quality of education and apply the highest international standards of academic quality.
