At the present time, the issue of environmental pollution and environmental preservation has become the main concern of the whole world, whether in finding ways to reduce pollution or using methods that do not contribute to harming the environment to achieve the principle of environmental sustainability, or using the method of raising awareness of the harms and problems of pollution, which is reflected in the behavior of individuals and increasing their sense of responsibility towards this problem. In the interest of the Department of Chemical Engineering to raise the level of awareness of its students and involve them in responsibility as an active element in society, the students of the second stage in the department held on Thursday, 6-4-2023, scientific seminars on environmental pollution under the supervision of Asst.Prof.Dr. Tariq M. Naife. These seminars dealt with various topics, including the types of environmental pollution and their effects, ways to control them and reduce their danger to society, and the use of green or sustainable energy resources to eliminate or reduce environmental pollution.
