As part of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad’s efforts to strengthen its scientific and academic collaboration with global research institutions, a twinning and joint scientific cooperation agreement was signed on the college grounds between the College of Engineering and the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Polish Academy of Sciences. The agreement aims to support and develop the academic prospects of the Department of Architectural Engineering.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majid, who signed the agreement on behalf of the University of Baghdad, while the agreement was signed on behalf of the Polish side by Dr. Valentina Liebry, Dean of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology. The ceremony was also attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Tamimi, Head of the Department of Architectural Engineering; Prof. Ghada Mousa Al-Salq, Head of the Department’s Scientific Committee; and Prof. Inaam Al-Bazzaz, member of the Scientific Committee.
The agreement aims to enhance scientific and cultural cooperation between the two parties, establish a solid partnership based on the exchange of administrative and scientific expertise, support student scientific and cultural activities, as well as develop joint academic programs and organize joint workshops, seminars, and scientific conferences.
This agreement comes as part of a series of initiatives undertaken by the College of Engineering to strengthen its international presence and develop its academic environment in line with global standards.
