On Thursday, December 5, 2024, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majid, Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad, welcomed Dr. Walid Al-Hilli, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Higher Education Affairs, during an official visit aimed at evaluating academic curricula, educational standards, and student engagement, as well as reviewing the achievements and services provided by the college.
The visit included an inspection tour of the Civil Engineering and Chemical Engineering departments, during which the Dean showcased the development of academic curricula and their alignment with international standards. The tour also featured visits to laboratories and lecture halls. During his interaction with students, Dr. Al-Hilli emphasized the importance of hard work and excellence, highlighting the government’s commitment to providing an ideal educational environment.
At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Al-Hilli commended the college and its administration for their efforts in enhancing the educational process and supporting students. He reaffirmed the Prime Minister’s support for educational institutions and the provision of resources needed to advance education in Iraq.
