As part of the cooperative efforts between universities, Assistant Professor Dr. Karim Hassan Ali, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Baghdad, visited the Department of Electromechanical Engineering at the University of Technology on September 19, 2024. This department recently received accreditation for academic engineering education in its Energy and Renewable Energy branch.
The visit was led by the respected Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed, and included a delegation comprising:
– Prof. Dr. Mervat, Director of the Quality Assurance Division
– Asst. Prof. Dr. Iman Qasim, member of the Iraqi Council for Academic Accreditation
– Dr. Wael Sami, representative from the Department of Mechanical Engineering
– Dr. Lama, Academic Accreditation Officer in the Quality Assurance Department at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad
A delegation from the University of Nahrain also joined the visit. The purpose of the meeting was to establish the foundation for securing academic accreditation in all departments of the College of Engineering.
