Sustainable Development – Responsible Consumption and Production
The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering at University of Baghdad organized an awareness campaign on Sunday, February 22, 2026, entitled “Rationalizing and Sustaining Water and Energy Resources and Protecting the Environment.” The campaign was held in line with the National Strategic Plan for Women’s Affairs adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The campaign was supervised by the Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, Assistant Professor Dr. Ilham Ali Bayouwi, and was conducted with the participation of liaison members from the engineering departments, in addition to the Media and Scientific Affairs Division of the College.
The initiative included the design and presentation of awareness posters addressing topics such as renewable energy, water and energy conservation, and the importance of environmental protection. The campaign aimed to promote the optimal use of natural resources and strengthen environmental sustainability concepts among students and staff, thereby supporting national efforts toward achieving sustainable development and fostering positive environmental behaviors within the university campus.
