Within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to strengthen the quality of university education and enhance the academic and administrative performance of educational institutions, the College of Engineering – University of Baghdad received, on Sunday morning, 21 December 2025, the Ministerial Committee for Institutional Accreditation. This visit was part of the committee’s field inspections of all formations of the university.
The committee was received by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul-Majid, accompanied by the Assistant Deans. He welcomed the committee members, affirming the college’s commitment to quality standards and institutional accreditation, and its continuous pursuit of developing the educational and administrative environment in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The visit included a comprehensive field tour of the academic departments, administrative divisions, and units, during which the committee reviewed the available resources, infrastructure, educational programs, quality assurance mechanisms, and the extent of their compliance with the approved institutional accreditation requirements and standards.
At the conclusion of the visit, the committee commended the efforts exerted by the Dean’s Office of the College of Engineering and its academic and administrative staff, praising the high level of cooperation and coordination, and emphasizing the importance of continuing to develop institutional performance in a manner that contributes to enhancing the scientific and academic standing of the University of Baghdad.
